What we do
Everything below is work we can complete on-site with the tools in the van. If a job genuinely needs a lift — a transmission out, a frame repair — we'll tell you straight on the phone rather than waste your afternoon.
Grinding, squealing, a pedal that sinks to the floor. We replace pads and rotors on-site, bleed the lines, and check the calipers while we're in there. Most brake jobs are done in under two hours in your own parking spot.

The most common call we get, especially in January. We test the battery under load, check the alternator output, and if it needs replacing we carry common group sizes in the van. Boost now, new battery in twenty minutes.

That amber light doesn't have to mean a dealership appointment. We pull the codes, read live data, and trace the actual fault — wiring, sensor, or something else entirely. You get a plain-English explanation before any work starts.

Spring and fall changeovers at your house, on your schedule — no lineup at the shop on the first cold Saturday. We torque to spec, check pressures, and can plug a nail puncture on-site if the tire is repairable.

How it works
Tell us the make, model, year, and what the car is doing — or not doing. A noise, a light, a smell, a click. We'll tell you on the phone whether it's something we can handle on-site and roughly what it'll cost.
Your driveway, your office parking lot, the side of the road, or the underground garage at your building — as long as we can reach the car, we can work on it. Most calls in Etobicoke and North York get a van within the hour.
We show you the failed part, explain what happened, and tell you what to watch for next. Payment by card, cash, or e-transfer once the work is done and you're satisfied with it.
Why mobile
A shop visit costs you a tow, a day off, and a ride home. For the majority of repairs a car actually needs, none of that is necessary — the work fits in a driveway and the parts fit in a van.
VT Auto is a one-van operation, which is deliberate. The person who answers the phone is the person who shows up and the person who does the work. No service writer, no upsell script, no mystery line items on the invoice.
We work nights and weekends because that's when cars break and when people are actually home. If you're stuck at 2 a.m. on the 401 shoulder or your car won't start before a shift, call — someone answers.

Breakdowns don't keep business hours, so neither do we. The phone is answered around the clock, including holidays.

Our base is on Arrow Road in North York. You're welcome to come to us, but most people don't — the whole point is that we drive out to you.
Just off Sheppard Ave W, west of the 400. Look for the service van in the lot — if it's out, we're on a call.
